Our History

1951

Don Roberts and Keith Crichton take over HG Uther & Co. The name of the firm changes to Crichton Roberts & Co.

1953

Jack Morrow joins the firm as a Senior Clerk.

1954

Jack Morrow becomes a Partner.

1956

Keith Coggan joins the firm and the practice of ER Patston & Co was acquired.

1957

Keith Crichton retires and Don Roberts & Jack Morrow carry on the firm.

1963

The firm changes its name to Roberts & Morrow.

1979

The Glen Innes branch of the firm was opened and Silvia Grigg became the first female partner of the firm (who managed the new Glen Innes office).

1980

Jack Morrow retired after being with the practice for 26 years.

1984

A practice was acquired in Tenterfield where the next branch of Roberts & Morrow commenced.

1987

Don Roberts retired after being with the firm for 36 years.

1987

Roberts & Morrow Financial Services (now Financial Planning) was created.

2000

The firm launched Roberts & Morrow Technology (RMT ).

2006

Roberts & Morrow Audit commences and around this time, Roberts & Morrow Superannuation is launched.

2014

The firm opened an office in Narrabri under the management of now retired partner Simon Croft.

2015

RMT opened an office in Townsville QLD, by then boasting a staff of 28 and over 4,500 seats under management.

2016

Roberts & Morrow merged with Plante Davis in Tamworth and the total team grew beyond 100 staff. Plante Davis had a long history of its own starting in 1967!

2019

Roberts & Morrow Legal Solutions was created as the latest specialist service.

2021

The firm opened its newest office in Brisbane QLD with Partner Jason Simmonds relocating to the Sunny State.

2021

Celebrated 70 years

2022

Merged with long standing Tamworth firm Malvern Mathews Smith
